What is TEDx?
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, “Ideas Worth Spreading." A TEDx
event is organized by volunteers from the local community. The program is
designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark
conversations and connections through local, TED-like experiences. At TEDx
events, a screening of TED Talks videos — or a combination of live presenters and
TED Talks videos — sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level.
About TEDxSCAC
The FOURTH edition of the independently organized TED event at the Symbiosis
College of Arts & Commerce, held on a virtual platform dated 16th and 17th April
2021, aimed to bring together notable speakers & captivating performances to
enlighten upon the proposed theme, TRAVERSING THE UNDISCOVERED.
There is an array of possibilities to pioneer: from the diminutive particle of the
universe to the eccentric innovation to the boulevard of self-discovery. The scope
is just cosmic! With the world evolving into a new normal, history has been
testimony to the fact that humans have adapted through time. The secret behind
adaptation lies in the ability to discover what was unearthed before and to look
at things from a novel perspective. The real voyage of discovery not only consists
of seeking new landscapes but, cardinally, to have new eyes.
We reckon that the event should be established on the pillars of a
multidisciplinary approach that involves drawing discussions from multiple
disciplines to redefine problems outside normal boundaries and reach conclusions
based on a new understanding of complex situations. Along with the talks from
our esteemed speakers, most of the speakers even joined the audience live for an
interactive session.
