IMA and Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce
We are very proud to mention that Symbiosis College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and we now have the privilege of being a university partner of IMA. IMA offers the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) professional certification, and the new MOU allows us to integrate the CMA program with our B.COM program. This will commence in the academic year 2024–2025 and will lead to a degree of B.COM with specialization in Management Accounting.

The professional CMA Certification Programme consists of 2 Parts:

  • Part 2: Strategic Financial Management

Also each part has a professional exam of 4 hours which includes 100 multiple choice questions and two, 30 minute essays. Please refer to the following link for the further details on the CMA professional Exam.

As mentioned above the CMA Certification consists of 12 papers. All these 12 papers have been included in the B. Com syllabus over 3 years and they will have to be pursued in the given order. The student is expected to appear for all the college exams to earn B.Com with specialisation in Management Accounting.

Professional exam fees for Part 1 & 2 shall be paid by students to IMA directly.

Fees paid to college are inclusive of GST and include the following:

  • CMA Entrance Fees + GST
  • IMA - Professional Membership

Admission procedure for Students:

  • An Indian student will qualify for the CMA integration Programme only after fulfilling the merit criteria for the regular B. Com Program. This process will commence only after the declaration of 12th Standard results. All details of the admission process will be displayed on the College Website.
  • NRI and Foreign students need to get their documents scanned and apply to the International Office of Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE) after the 12th standard results.
  • Once a student in his first year opts for B. Com with SPECIALISATION IN MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING (Integrated Program), he/she will not be allowed to change/ opt out of the specialization. This means he/she will have to complete all three years of his/her graduation with SPECIALISATION IN MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING.
